Self Care Festival @ Mattei’s Tavern

Valley residents had the opportunity to learn about the many businesses which are available in the area to those who wish to improve their mind, body, and spirit. The Self-Care Festival and Makers Market was held on Saturday, April 20, at Mattei’s Tavern in Los Olivos.

The front driveway and the back garden was filled with more than 40 booths, with 14 self-care providers, 30 artisan booths, and 11 fitness classes, all offering their special skills in order to inspire the numerous guests who attended to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. There were movement classes from the Valley’s top gyms and studios and booths to pamper yourself including massages, acupuncture, mini facials, hair braiding, and henna. Artisans provided their handmade creations, such as jewelry, natural soaps, skin care, creams, leather and cork goods, hand woven baskets, pottery, paper, and more.

Musicians and vocalists performed throughout the day, including Jacie Lynn (Herthel) and Jon Firey, Dewey Roberts, Arwen Lewis, Kathleen Sieck, and the Paige Peel Band.

Pico’s of Los Alamos provide a “pop up” restaurant inside Mattei’s, offering tasty treats and wine was provided by Strange Wine.
